Neon Football

Idea

Like regular football, but with a lot more colour and music! Find a hall, make it dark, decorate clothes and a football with neon paint and have a loud, bright, fun-filled kick about! 

This is great for attracting those that wouldn’t consider themselves footballers, or even that sporty. The key element here is fun – the fact that it’s dark means people will be less self-conscious and will enjoy the opportunity to get involved without worrying about whether they have two left feet. Get some music pumping and you have the making of a great evening event!

Resources

A relatively large hall that can be blacked out

Footballs

Neon paint

White t – shirts, (or you could incorporate decorating t shirts with neon paint into an earlier activity)

Music (possibly even a live DJ)

Football goals (5-a-side probably best)

Key requirements

Equipment listed above, a team of volunteers to ensure that people are safe and happy, someone to oversee the event and consider what format the evening will take (5-a-side tournament, free for all, big game or a mixture of different games)
